Kensington, Maryland—January 13, 2010—The hodgsonConsulting team woke up with the rest of the world on the morning of Wednesday, January 13, 2010 to the horror on the news of a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in the capital city of Haiti, already the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. As the reports of the death toll rise and the extent of the devastation seemingly expands we are moved to do what we can to help. We have made a donation to the American Red Cross International Response Fund for $2000, designating it to Haiti relief. Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti and to those of our friends, colleagues, clients and acquaintances that may have been touched by this disaster.
About the American Red Cross:
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation’s blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
