We are also really big fans of Sitefinity’s security; version 10 has a secure way to limit access to websites under construction, helping to streamline the deployment process.
Sitefinity Tip 02
It’s not new, but it is improved!
Let’s personalize that user experience. Sitefinity has always strived to have content editors and marketers, not developers, manage the website.
So not only is it easy to update content, it’s super easy to personalize that content. All content blocks, images, and widgets can be personalized, or combined to personalize a whole page or layout.
If users authenticate, personalize the password-protected portal. If users self identify, personalize the content blocks. If you are just assuming you know what they want, personalize the calls to action. Why is personalization important? Read this it'll tell you everything you need to know.
Habit # 7: Sharpen the Saw*: take advantage of training.
An enormous benefit of Sitefinity is the extensive training included in your license, and Sitefinity is one of the best. If you have questions about your website, check out the Sitefinity website – it is clear, searchable and informative.
If you just want to be sure you’re harnessing the vast number of tips, tricks, and tools at your fingertips, check out the online training modules. If you just can’t figure it out, there’s a plethora of online forums with Sitefinity developer contributors. Or, if you just don’t want to read that much, call them. They’re incredibly helpful.

Sitefinity Tip 04
There was a time when marketers using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager were on the cutting edge, using tools to understand audience behavior and make decisions about conversions based on actual data (sometimes even real time/as it happens information).
Now, this is standard practice. But do you want to be on the cutting edge again? Want to go a level deeper? Now you can! Sitefinity is all over the Business Intelligence (BI) trend, which means using applications to process and mine raw data. Take a look at Progress® OpenEdge® Analytics360™.
This new tool integrates seamlessly with your site to compare your user data against an extensive library of Key Performance Indicators, and it gives you new, actionable interpretations of that data. If you thought you were cool five years ago, you’re going to be a rock star now.
You know how exciting it is to upgrade your phone and see all the cool new features. If you love to do it for your phone, why not do it for your website?
Sitefinity is constantly accepting feedback at the consumer and partner levels and working consistently to release upgrades with new features (in other words, improvements that make your life easier). We’re happy to help if you want to upgrade your version of Sitefinity.
